ABOUT THE SCULPTURE

Martin Bodilsen Kaldahl’s sculpture group is composed of three adjoining sculptures which seem to have an aura of a human being or perhaps some other creature.

When walking around the work, one realises that the three sculptures somehow interact with each other – they look at each other, listen to each other, or are perhaps dancing with each other?

The hand modelled group is defined by a stringent expression but at the same time a very vivid work which is almost vibrating in its blue-grey, mat surface.

Here, Kaldahl is fascinated by the pure form’s sensuous expressive possibilities, and the visual pleasure of meeting a sculpture which at first glance might seem simple in its expression but does not invite a simple experience. On the contrary. Less is known to be more and this is what we experience here.
